Hi Hockey Families.
Tryout skate 1 is in the books. A good effort by all.
Tomorrow is skate 2 and after the skate some players will be released. Please note that if you did not tryout for AA you will get a minimum of 3 skates to tryout. For those who tried out for AA, evaluations cary over to A with regard to minimum skate requirements.
It is also important for all to know that the team has not been picked yet so everyone should bring their best efforts tomorrow.
Arena Staff Requests...
Arena staff have asked all coaches to remind parents and players that:
- you can only enter the rink 30min before your ice-not before
- no hall hockey is permitted (parents please help monitor this)
- please refrain from banging on the boards while you wait to get on the ice
- Please do not gather near the change rooms/ice entryway while you wait-the lobby and seating areas are to be used instead
I am hoping to have a little bit of a scrimmage at the end of the practice tomorrow so if you can bring an opposite coloured jersey along with your tryout jersey that would be helpful. I may ask a few players to put on a different colour so we can even out the team sizes. We will note who changes jerseys so evaluations can still continue.
