We are thrilled to have Coach Jon return to the bench! Coach Jon brings a diverse coaching background with several years of experience in minor hockey across multiple age levels, including the Glancaster Bombers U12, U15, U16 and most recently U18. This range of experience gives him a strong understanding of skills, habits and mindset required as players progress through their development stages. Coach Jon’s coaching philosophy centres on long-term player development, both on and off the ice. He places a strong emphasis on character, accountability, and leadership, while building positive relationships with players to help bring out the best in each individual.
By creating trust and open communication, Jon is able to support players as they grow in confidence, maturity and skill. Deeply committed to development, Coach Jon approaches each season with a detailed plan focused on skill progression, team work, systems and fostering a genuine love for the game.
He believes that players learn best in an environment that challenges them to compete while still allowing them to enjoy the process. His bench staff is committed to mentoring each player, building confidence, and giving them the freedom to be creative while understanding that mistakes area. Natural and valuable part of learning.
