Dear Glancaster Bombers membership
First off, we'd like to wish all of our Bombers teams the best of luck as they play and prepare for league playdowns. It's an exciting time of year for players, parents and coaches and we look forward to seeing the teams in action around the rinks.
We also wanted to take the opportunity to provide an update on Bombers programming for the 2022/2023 season. We know there are questions in regards to the pilot between the shared AMHL and GMHA rep programs so we will do our best to summarize the latest here:
- The sub-committee continues to work with the OMHA on reviewing the proposed joint association bylaws and proposed governing board structure
- Any final decision on amalgamation requires a membership vote from both associations which will happen once the above documentation has been approved
- Membership from both the AMHL and GMHA will be given the opportunity to ask questions before the vote via a Town Hall or virtual meeting upon approval of bylaws and board structure from current board members
- In the interest of time, the sub-committee has made the decision to move forward with planning for spring and fall tryouts to ensure we have all requirements in place, including:
- Coaching applications, reviews and interviews
- Tryout out schedule, jerseys and exhibition games
- Registration
- Evaluation tools
- Tryout Identification Numbers (TIN)
* Please note that we still do not have final timing or details for either spring or fall tryouts but are working behind the scenes to be prepared for both.
