Happy Monday,
Tomorrow we begin the U10 A tryouts. A couple of notes about the process:
- Our registrar will be set up at a desk to check you in. Even if have been part of the AA tyouts, please check-in with the registrar. Every player needs their jersey number and Tryout Identification Number (TIN) confirmed and recorded. If you do not have a jersey yet, one will be provided.
- We will have evaluators working with coaches to help pick the team. Please note that we will not communicate with parents via text or phone during the tryout process. If you need to communicate with us, please send an email
- No releases will happen after the first skate
For those who are new to the tryout process, it can be a stressful time for players, and sometimes parents. Please help your player realize that hockey is a great game that should be fun. If players feel relaxed they are more likely to perform the way they typically would on a team. Here is a good article that might be useful in helping your player prepare for a tryout: Things Coaches Look For During Tryouts
During tryouts I will use this site to communicate. Let me know if you have any questions.
See you at the rink,
Shawn
