The U15B Bombers started the year off with a great showing in the Belle River Preseason Challenge, bringing home the Silver Medal in a back-and-forth battle; narrowly losing out to the competition in a late 3rd period scramble.
The Bombers look to add to their medal collection as they move through the rest of the 2025-26 season. Stay Tuned for more great things to come!
Over the 6 game tournament, the Glancaster Bombers U15B team came together as a group to finish strong... which is why we like to participate in this preseason challenge; coaches, players and parents alike all get to find their stride, and become familiar with new teammates and friends.
This was demonstrated in our semi-final game as we outshot, outworked and outplayed the competition with a significant 6-1 win over a team that we struggled with in the round robin. The players were able to shed old habits early, and quickly adapted to overcome the opposition.
The Gold Medal game was a great back-and-forth effort, with the teams coming into the 3rd period locked in a 2-2 tie. Lambton shores took an early 3-2 lead, but the Bombers quickly bounced back scoring 2, allowing them to carry a 4-3 lead into the final minutes of the 3rd period. Hats-off to the Lambton Shores coaching staff and players as they continued to battle to the end, and were able to tie it up late, then score one final goal to take the victory.
Coaching staff from both benches are looking forward to meeting up again later this season, as the two teams seemed very evenly matched. Final shot count for this game was 29-29... you can't get a much more exciting Gold Medal game than that.
We're all looking forward to seeing some great things from this team as the season progresses!
