Congrats to the U13BB team for winning the GOLD MEDAL in the Gretzky International tournament over the holidays.
The U13BB team continues enjoying a successful season with
a big gold medal win in Brantford over the holidays. Through round-robin
play, the Bombers were seeded 2nd overall, with 2 wins and 2
ties. They battled hard to win a tight semi-final game against Woodstock,
and needed 3v3 Overtime to score the game winner, giving them a shot at the
gold medal.
In the finals, they faced a tough U13BB team from
Brantford, a team they have not won against this season. Through four
previous exhibition games, the head-to-head record against this Brantford 99ers
team was 0-1-3. Our Bombers came out ready to battle and played a
dominant game with some fantastic support from our goaltending to take the
final match and the gold medal 4-2.
As a final note, the coaching staff would like to extend a
huge thanks to our AP’s, who were able to fill in the gaps in our roster over
the holidays, and help our team bring home the hardware. Congrats to all
